Mechanism of Action

Antagonist to dopamine receptors and binds alpha-1, alpha-2, serotonin, and muscarinic receptors. These actions result in:

  • Decreased delusions and hallucinations in conditions like schizophrenia
  • A strong calming effect, decreased agitation, anxiety, panic
  • Decreased pain
  • Decreased nausea and vomiting
